AI Networking: Building the Fabric Behind the Future
AI is changing more than what happens inside the data center. It is changing how the entire infrastructure needs to be built.
At Aixia Innovation Day 2026, Peter Lundqvist, System Engineering Manager at Arista Networks, takes the stage to explore the networking trends shaping the next generation of AI infrastructure.
In his session, “AI Networking Trends,” Peter will dive into the fundamentals of AI data center fabric design and how the shift towards inference is changing traffic patterns and placing new demands on the network.
He will also explore the continued evolution of InfiniBand and Ethernet, and one of the biggest challenges facing tomorrow’s AI infrastructure: balancing rapidly increasing power requirements with the very real limitations of the electrical grid.
As AI moves from experimentation to large-scale production, the infrastructure behind it has to evolve just as quickly. Compute may power AI, but networking is what brings it all together.
